New Year’s Eve Makeup Inspo

It’s currently 2:02am on New Year’s Eve and I’m finding myself Googling ‘NYE Makeup Looks’. I think I’m more excited about getting ready for tomorrow tonight (will I ever go to sleep?) than I am for the main event. My lack of makeup inspiration left me thinking that I’m probably not alone as after an entire week of festivities, I think we’ve all exhausted our go-to glam.

So I decided to compile a list of all of our favourite makeup looks from 2017! There’s something for everyone so if you’re a more soft smokes kinda gal, don’t be put off by the glitter, gems, and crazy colours that we unashamedly love. Most looks feature a combination of several styles – from soft smokes with bold liner, to cut-creases laced with glitter. But, to make it easier to find your preferred style, all of our looks are listed under handy little headings:

1) Bright Colours

2) Plenty of Glitter

3) Bold Liner

If you’re not too confident with winged eyeliner, putting a pop of colour in your waterline can have an equally as bold effect! Here I used white eyeliner to make my eyes pop:

Or, if you still desire a cat-eye effect, try winging out your eyeshadow! It’s a lot more forgiving. Simply use a makeup wipe to sharpen the edges, or use loose powder for a softer wing.
